The project required RCCSJ to furnish and install 16,059TF, (9) #10 Turnouts, (9) Precast 40’ StarTrack Crossings, (1) 30’ Asphalt Crossing, (12) Curve Lubricators, (4) New Bumpers and the relocation of (1) Bumper, and to procure a #10 Crossover for Conrail to install with their forces. The 136RE HH rail was welded using RCCSJ’s electric flashbutt welder. All ballast was installed using our 20NT ballast cars and tamped using our Mark IV Tamper with Jupiter computer system and lining control and regulated using our Kershaw Regulator. The job was extended due to unforeseen additions to the civil work at the terminal. RCCSJ also furnished and installed the thermite welds for the turnouts and proceeded to complete the CWR portions of the job using proper thermal adjustment techniques.
